PRESENTATION OF THE COMMUNICATIONS SECTOR DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY AT THE DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS MEETING

Within the framework of the meeting of the Coordination Council of Development Partners on digitalization issues, held under the chairmanship of Hokim Kholiqzoda, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Strategy for the Development of the Communications Sector of the Republic of Tajikistan up to 2040 was presented.

Isfandiyori Saadullo, Head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, presented the Strategy for the Development of the Communications Sector up to 2040 and explained its key goals and priorities. It was emphasized that the strategy is aimed at ensuring universal broadband internet coverage, improving the quality of communication services, expanding next-generation networks, and providing equal access to digital services across all regions of the country.

It was noted that the effective implementation of the strategy will serve as a key foundation for the development of the digital economy, the expansion of e-government, and the enhancement of the competitiveness of the national economy. At the same time, the development of telecommunications infrastructure was assessed as a decisive factor in accelerating digitalization and attracting investment.

Development partners welcomed the presentation of the strategy and expressed their readiness to support its implementation, as well as to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of communications and digital technologies.

Representatives of ministries and agencies, the diplomatic corps, and international financial organizations also participated in the meeting.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts, mobilizing financial and technical resources, and implementing joint projects to achieve the strategic goals of the sector.
