IT Forum titled
“Tajik-China Digital Business Connect” Held in China
On May 11, 2026, within the framework of the state visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the People’s Republic of China, the IT Forum titled “Tajik-China Digital Business Connect” was held in Beijing on the initiative of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Forum became an important platform for economic and technological cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China. The event brought together representatives of government institutions, leading companies in the field of information and communication technologies, investors, and business communities.
The event brought together 70 information and communication technology companies from the Republic of Tajikistan and more than 120 leading technology companies from the People’s Republic of China, including Alibaba Group, ByteDance (TikTok), BYD, Huawei, DeepSeek, Kuaishou Technology and Lenovo. The participants presented their technological capabilities, experience, and achievements in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, data centers, e-commerce, and digital services.
The main objective of the Forum was to establish a favorable platform for the development of direct business and technological cooperation, attraction of investments, introduction of advanced technologies, exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as to showcase the potential and opportunities of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of digital economy and innovation.
During panel sessions and bilateral meetings, the parties discussed the development of the digital ecosystem, expansion of technological infrastructure, implementation of joint e-government projects, development of startups, strengthening of human capital, and adoption of modern technologies.
Within the framework of the Forum, 28 cooperation agreements were signed between companies of the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China, with a total value of 647 million US dollars. These agreements lay a solid foundation for the implementation of joint projects, introduction of advanced technologies, and strengthening of economic and technological ties between the two countries.
The “Tajik-China Digital Business Connect” IT Forum is regarded as an important step toward strengthening strategic technological partnership and expanding digital and economic relations between the two countries.
