Discussion on Strengthening Cooperation Between Tajikistan and the United States of America in the Field of Communications

Today, Isfandiyor Saadullo, Head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, received Manuel Micaller, Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation between their countries in the field of telecommunications and communications. They mutually recognized the benefits of strengthening ties in this area.

Manuel Micaller stated that the United States is ready to support the development of communications infrastructure in Tajikistan, particularly by facilitating the establishment of Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) in the regions.

Additionally, the parties discussed issues related to information security and cooperation with leading American telecommunications companies, including Meta, YouTube, and Google, as well as U.S. internet service providers.

An exchange of views also took place regarding the use of small satellites, including Starlink equipment.
