Holding of the Side Event “Tajik-Japan Digital Business Connect” within the Framework of the “Central Asia + Japan Dialogue” Summit
Within the framework of the working visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to Japan to participate in the first Summit of Heads of State of the “Central Asia + Japan Dialogue,” as a high-level meeting and a multilateral format of political, economic, and strategic cooperation, a number of events and bilateral meetings were held aimed at strengthening cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan in key areas.
In particular, on December 18 of the current year, in the city of Tokyo, within the framework of the “Central Asia + Japan Dialogue” Summit, a side event entitled “Tajik-Japan Digital Business Connect” was held with the purpose of presenting the potential and capabilities of the Republic of Tajikistan in the fields of telecommunications, communications, and digital technologies.
Representatives of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the event and delivered speeches, expressing their views on the development of the communications infrastructure and telecommunications technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It is worth noting that the event was aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of the digital economy, innovation, and information technologies, including the communications and telecommunications sector, and a number of service provider companies from the Republic of Tajikistan took active part in it.
Representatives of domestic companies held productive meetings with Japanese companies and business circles, presented best practices, cooperation opportunities, joint projects, as well as their products and services. At the same time, issues related to startup development, investment attraction, export of digital services, implementation of modern technologies, and expansion of direct business ties were discussed.
The holding of the “Tajik-Japan Digital Business Connect” event was assessed as an important step in presenting Tajikistan as a reliable partner in the field of telecommunications and communications technologies, and it will contribute to the implementation of the country’s strategic goals in terms of development and improvement, modernization of infrastructure, and provision of high-quality services in the field of communications and comprehensive high-speed internet.
It is particularly noteworthy that the participation of the Communications Service in such international events demonstrates the determination of the Republic of Tajikistan to develop and modernize communications infrastructure, enhance the level and quality of services, and expand international cooperation in the field of advanced technologies.
