Dushanbe has begun installing QR navigation at 45 historical and cultural sites across the capital. The initiative will allow residents and visitors to use digital technology to access more information about Dushanbe’s historical landmarks.

The project is being implemented by the Dushanbe Tourism Development Department in cooperation with Asia-Plus.

Discover a Landmark with a Single Scan

Special QR codes have been installed near the historical sites. By scanning the code, users can access information about each location.

The information is available in three languages — Tajik, Russian, and English. In addition to text-based content, audio information is also available.

This will allow tourists and Dushanbe residents to learn about the history of the landmarks directly at the site, without the need for additional searches.

The Project Will Be Implemented in Several Stages

During the first stage, QR navigation has been installed at 45 historical and cultural sites in Dushanbe. In subsequent stages, the number of locations covered and the range of available information will be expanded.

According to project representatives, the initiative aims to develop tourism infrastructure, digitize historical and cultural information, and provide convenient access to it for residents and international visitors to the capital.

QR navigation can become a modern way to discover Dushanbe’s history and cultural heritage, making the travel experience in the capital even more informative and convenient.
