On July 9, the Head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Isfandiyor Saаdullo, met with the World Bank Country Manager for Tajikistan, Gael Raballand.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that, under the leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the country places the highest priority on the development of the digital economy and information and communication technologies (ICT). In this context, the Communications Sector Development Strategy through 2040 is being implemented, while the period 2025–2030 has been declared the “Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development.”

The parties also discussed the progress of jointly implemented projects, cooperation in the field of digital technologies, and prospects for supporting new initiatives in the communications sector, particularly the establishment of a Digital Council for the communications sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
