French telecommunications company Orange, in partnership with investment firm Morrison, has announced a new project to expand its data center infrastructure in France. The initiative aims to strengthen digital infrastructure to meet the rapidly growing demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced telecommunications services.

According to the company, the rapid growth of AI technologies and digital services has significantly increased the need for computing capacity. Data centers play a critical role in storing, processing, and transmitting massive amounts of data, supporting mobile networks, cloud platforms, and digital services.

Orange and Morrison plan to develop energy-efficient data centers powered by sustainable technologies and renewable energy sources. The project is expected to improve the resilience of digital infrastructure while reducing its environmental impact.

Industry experts emphasize that expanding data center capacity is essential for the continued development of 5G networks, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. Modern data centers are becoming a cornerstone of the digital economy and next-generation communications infrastructure.
