A delegation from the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by Deputy Head Shohnazar Kholnazarzoda, participated in and delivered a speech at the Silk Road E-Commerce Cooperation and Development Forum, held on 21–23 July 2026 in Xi’an, People’s Republic of China.
The forum, held under the theme “Opportunities and Practices of E-Commerce in the Era of Artificial Intelligence,” provided a platform for the Tajik delegation to present the country’s achievements in the development of the digital economy, artificial intelligence (AI), and the telecommunications sector.
In his address, Shohnazar Kholnazarzoda emphasized that Tajikistan is the first country in Central Asia and the first low-income country in the world to adopt a National Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy. He also highlighted the country’s significant progress in expanding 5G networks, improving internet speeds, opening new southern transit routes, and implementing regional CASA projects.
At the conclusion of his speech, the Tajik delegation invited international partners to invest in the CASA Digital Corridor, strengthen cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, and support the development of e-commerce. The delegation stressed that Tajikistan offers real opportunities for digital cooperation, a solid legal framework, and a young, rapidly growing market.
Tajikistan’s participation in this international forum further strengthened the country’s position as an active partner in regional digital cooperation and created favorable conditions for the development of the Digital Silk Road and the expansion of international partnerships.
