JSC «Tajiktelecom» has connected to DE-CIX, one of the world’s largest internet exchange platforms, located in Frankfurt, Germany.

According to the company, the project was implemented in cooperation with international partners and through the use of transit infrastructure. As a result, international internet routes provided through DE-CIX are now accessible via «Tajiktelecom» to operators and internet service providers in Tajikistan that are participants of the national TJ-IX internet traffic exchange point.

Connecting to DE-CIX will improve access to global platforms and services, while enabling internet traffic to reach European data centers with lower latency. This will contribute to higher connection speeds and improved network stability.

At the same time, the connection creates an additional route for internet traffic, which can serve as a backup path in the event of disruptions affecting international networks.

According to experts, the project is also of significant importance for the development of the digital economy and online services in Tajikistan. Banks, government information systems, data processing centers, and other digital services will be able to operate more reliably and efficiently with international platforms.

For ordinary internet users, this connection may also contribute to improved quality of video conferencing, distance learning, online services, video streaming platforms, and other internet-based services.

The connection of «Tajiktelecom» to DE-CIX will also contribute to diversifying Tajikistan’s international internet routes and strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure.
