Meeting of the Head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Minister of Information and Communications Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Today, on the sidelines of the World Telecommunication Development Conference held in Baku, Azerbaijan, a meeting took place between the Head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Isfandiyor Saadullo, and the Minister of Information and Communications Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Sattar Hashemi.

Isfandiyor Saadullo noted that the meetings and negotiations between the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Masoud Pezeshkian, during the state visit held on 15–17 January 2025, gave a significant impetus to the comprehensive development of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to international roaming, the import of internet traffic from Iran, the exchange of experience in the field of cybersecurity, and the training of sectoral specialists.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, and both sides expressed their readiness to make full use of the available opportunities.
