INTERNATIONAL FORUM “DIGITAL TAJIKISTAN” — A NEW STEP IN THE COUNTRY’S DIGITAL DEVELOPMENT. COMMUNICATION SECTOR ENTITIES — THE PIONEERS OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
From October 13 to 15, 2025, Dushanbe will host the International Forum “Digital Tajikistan.” This event is considered one of the most significant in the digital field in the region. The forum will serve as an integration platform for professionals, investors, and government institutions to exchange experience and strengthen cooperation.
“Digital Tajikistan” is not only a symbol of Tajikistan’s alignment with global digitalization trends but also a reflection of the country’s consistent state policy aimed at building an information society and a digital economy.
At the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the years 2025–2030 have been declared the Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development, clearly demonstrating the political will to lead the country into a new phase of technological progress.
Another important initiative is the proposal of a special international resolution titled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Creating New Opportunities for Sustainable Development in Central Asia,” the implementation of which could strengthen Tajikistan’s position in regional and global cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.
The Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan plays a central role in organizing the “Digital Tajikistan” International Forum and developing the country’s digital ecosystem. This institution coordinates the state policy in the field of communications and information technologies, ensures the development of digital infrastructure, and creates favorable conditions for the implementation of new technologies.
With the support of the Communications Service, the country’s mobile operators and internet providers will participate in the forum by presenting their projects, ideas, and experiences in digitalizing services. They will showcase the implementation of 4G and 5G networks, the expansion of high-speed internet coverage, the development of mobile payments, digital government platforms, and online services.
In recent years, these companies have played a key role in introducing electronic public and private services, contributing significantly to the development of “e-GOV,” “e-Commerce,” and “FinTech” systems. At the same time, they are actively involved in promoting digital support in education, healthcare, energy, and urban management sectors.
The “Digital Tajikistan” Forum provides a favorable environment for close cooperation between government agencies, the private sector, and international organizations. Within the framework of the forum, representatives of the National Bank of Tajikistan, the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies, the Communications Service, IT companies, telecom operators, and startups will discuss new avenues for strategic cooperation.
The exchange of experience and innovative proposals at the forum will contribute to achieving national goals in digitalizing the economy, improving the efficiency of public administration, and developing digital services.
The International Forum “Digital Tajikistan” clearly demonstrates that Tajikistan is confidently moving toward building a digital society. The active participation of the Communications Service and mobile operators in this process not only provides the technical foundation but also serves as the main driving force behind the development of the country’s digital economy.
Through the consistent implementation of state initiatives and close cooperation with the private sector, Tajikistan is expected in the coming years to become one of the key digital hubs in Central Asia and to present its national experience at the international level.
